Road Blasters

I picked up this RoadBlasters cab for $65 at the Super Auctions auction in Rockford IL around June 19, 2005.  I don't know if it was cheap because it didn't work or didn't appear to have a pedal or what..but I had checked it out and knew it DID have a pedal.  Maybe it's just not very collectable or whatever..but I remember playing a lot of this game as a kid.  Our local Dairy Queen had one and I ALWAYS loved it.

Here's the cabinet as I received it. After we shipped it home I could see how much I had to do.

Freakin' dirty inside....

REALLY freakin' dirty

I really liked the Side art that's on the back of the Cockpit version of the RoadBlasters.

Some folks at arcadecontrols.com pointed out that it looked just like the Nintendo box, so I bought the game on ebay and got a good pic of the cover

Stingray started working on it for me and got this much done, looks good, huh??

Then I got all excited and started working ont it.

Then kept going. Stingray went out of town and I got a lot done.

Then Stingray got me the stuff he'd done and I put them together

Then I started playing witha border

Got the arari logo and flipped the ship around. I printed it out on big old stickers for $12 each (cheap I think) and they look pretty good..

the Marquee was a little faded/ripped and warped. SO I scanned it san have started vectorizing it.

Here's how I started

This is where I am now.

DONE! I have to admit...this looks DAMN good. :D
